Inspiration
Whitfield’s inspiration to start Kimberly Inspiring Beauty in Strength was led through her fitness journey and her experience with mourning. In October 2003, Kimberly suffered a huge loss when her youngest daughter Kennedy was stillborn. Through this experience, Whitfield learned “heartache and pain can create the opportunity to grow and change.” Kimberly is grateful that her heartbreaking loss ultimately created PURPOSE, PASSION and HAPPINESS in her life!
Accomplishments
At the age of 46, Whitfield has already had remarkable amounts of endeavors and has more vitality than individuals half her age. Since 2012, she has competed in 4 bodybuilding competitions in the bikini and fitness model classes. In August 2014, she competed in the Drug Free Athletes Coalition (Pro-Qualifier) Pride Bodybuilding Show, and was honored to be named Fitness Model Overall Champion. “Age is only a number, it’s about feeling good and creating the best you,” says Whitfield. In October of 2015, Whitfield traveled to Baltimore, Maryland where she was a guest at Mrs. Ernestine Shepherd’s 27th annual 5k walk at Druid Hill Park. Mrs. Shepherd is best known for being, at one point, the oldest competitive female bodybuilder in the world, as declared by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Goals
Whitfield’s goal is to expand in other states and connect with schools to inspire youth through her 3 approaches to well-being (beauty, strength and inspiration). She also looks forward to sharing her testimony worldwide!
Kimberly hopes her journey will encourage others during times of adversity to keep moving and to be patient. Remember: Obstacles are only temporary! For more information on Kimberly Inspiring Beauty in Strength go to www.kwinspires.com
